It wasn’t too long ago that there was a growing supply of high-end foreclosures here in the Tucson Foothills, while for quite a while demand for them was willy-nilly.
Not any more.
7827 N Ancient Indian, a Pima Canyon foreclosure, sold today for $1,200,000 off a $1,186,000 list price. So it went for a few bucks over list. But more important, with that sale there are no more foreclosures listed at $1,000,000 or more. None. They’re all gone, at least for now they are.
In January in a post titled > foreclosures, the new black < I said,
‘Think about this, if 7827 Ancient Indian, Javelina Drive and the unnamed foreclosure all go to contract – which does not seem unlikely – there will be no foreclosures listed for sale in the foothills at million $$ or more. None, at least for now anyway’
Well guess what, all of that came true. 7827 Ancient Indian is sold, Javelina Drive is in contract and getting ready to close, and the unnamed foreclosure that I couldn’t mention, because I was representing the buyers, is the one at 7828 N Ancient Indian and it’s closing on Wednesday. (yes there are, or were, two foreclosures on Ancient Indian, one at 7827 and another across the street at 7828)
