They may be considered an ultra luxe amenity in the Northeast or the Midwest but they’re not too popular here in southern AZ.
Nevertheless, 5000 E Oakmont Drive, complete with large indoor pool, just sold for $1,538,000 ($212/sf). The house is 7261 sf and from the looks of it the pool area may occupy about 2000 sf. 2000 sf at $212/sf is a $424,000 pool. 
Like they say, there’s a butt for every seat.
