"Part of the reason some real estate agents are having trouble is they suck at what they do." YOW!
So says David Hatfield in a short piece on AZBiZ.com that comes out swinging at real estate agents who blame the media for the poor state of the real estate market. This is fun, the local media doesn't usually fight back like this.
" Can we please have a stop to whining real estate agents blaming the bad year they’re having on the media and the generic claim of "all that bad news they’re reporting." "Why? So you can take advantage of poor ignorant slobs who might not know any better?"
KA-POW! Real estate agents can stop whining
That's an obvious question, and I think Hatfield's got a point.
Might there be some agents who are trying to make nicey-nice and gloss over what's really happening in the market. Do you think.
Lots of agents have blamed the media as the cause of this downward spiral. And that's bull, but then again I've taken a swing or two at them myself, but not blaming them for causing it, just for their sloppy, incomplete and therefore misleading reporting about the market.
You know, the usual.
The media didn't cause this, they just did their share of fanning the flames. But that's one of the side-effects of having so much media competing for our attention and coming at us 24/7. Imagine how Sarah Palin feels.
On the other hand, the media did their share of fanning the flames when the market was on it's way up too, and I don't remember hearing a peep of complaint about that from the agent ranks.
SPLAT!
