With the deepening devastation of the financial markets this week, the odds were heavy that we wouldn't see much, if any action in Foothills real estate. And even the most rah-rah agents seemed pretty much resigned to that. I sure was.
Well I just took a look, and eight homes priced from $259,000 to $1,074,900 have gone under contract since Monday in the Tucson Foothills. That's more, not less than usual, for a normal three day period this time of year.
So instead of pulling out of the market because of all the fear and uncertainty swirling around, I'm guessing those buyers, some of them anyway, turned the tables and used it to their advantage to negotiate exceptionally good deals. That would have been my strategy, and it still holds because the fear and uncertainty is still very much with us.
