13 homes, that's everything that's sold in the Foothills at $800,000 and up since November 1st. Everything.
The what they wanted figure is the original list price which, I assume, is what those home owners really wanted.
And seeing this, I think the time has come to acknowledge these new lower prices, for the homes that are selling anyway, and those are the only ones that really count, and start calling $800,000 the new $1,000,000, and therefore the new threshold to the luxury market here in the Foothills.
Which isn't all bad. We're just getting in tune with the times and adjusting our expectations a bit. And if it catches on, it may even cause a few homeowners to feel more comfortable with the idea of listing their homes for less, while still being able to maintain that coveted luxury listing status. What do you think?
