The market here in the Foothills, for short sales and REO’s, is working remarkably well, so well that, by traditional measurements, it’s a sellers market.
Pulling up the latest data for short sales and REO’s, I find 22 single family homes for sale, 24 under contract and 25 sold since Jan 1.
At that rate, and with just a 4 month supply of short sale and REO properties, it’s a sellers market.
So even with lenders being difficult to deal with and making you jump through hoops to get the deal done, buyers are jumping at the chance for a good deal. Because price matters.
