6424 N Placita Del Zopilote in Alta Vista sold for $1,045,000 in June 06 and went back on the market in January of this year for (what I thought was) the head-in-the-clouds price of $1,300,000.
It’s a really nice house, but come on, a 24% price increase while the world economy is collapsing and prices in the little ole foothills are down about 24%.
Over time they did reduce it to $1,175,000, but so what.
Well, so what, or not, it sold today for $1,075,000.
Or $30,000 more than they paid in 06, at the very tippy-top of the market.
This may be a first. Or it may be a fluke. We’ll see.
But one thing’s for certain, the market in the foothills is getting stronger, not weaker.
