Another new listing today, and a spec home too, at over 4 mil has come on the market. That’s the 4th home listed this year between
4 & 5 million & 3 of them are specs. Specs at 4 million & up, ah-ha.
The last time a home sold in the Foothills at 4 million or more (thru the MLS anyway) was never. The highest sale was $3.8, and there were two of them, one in 07 for a house up in the Canyons and one in 03 for a 1947 house on 20 acres off Camino Antonio - which was promptly carved up every which way to make room for spec homes.
With this new one, at $4.2, we now have 6 listed between 4 & 5 mil and 6 more from $5.0 to $13.5.
And here I thought conspicuous consumption was O-U-T.
