Searching the MLS and the Long Realty site I see there are just 3 houses priced at a million$ & up having an Open House today.
107 for sale and just 3 Open. On a gorgeous day like today you could expect to see 20 to 25 high-end open houses. What gives.
Well, it is the end of the season for high-end home sales. But also, it seems to me, because attendance at open houses and sales of
high-end homes have been so dismal, that sellers and their agents are loathe to waste yet another Sunday afternoon in hopes of finding a buyer. They haven’t quite given up on it, but they finally have to admit, they’ve lost any real hope of finding a buyer anytime soon.
And also, smartly, many agents have shifted their focus to the lower priced homes that are selling. And plenty of them are being held open today.
