5951 N Campo Abierto, that’s in Village Five At the Villages Of La Paloma, was withdrawn today after six months on the market and no sale. It was listed on Valentines Day for $550k and later reduced to $495k.
Fine & dandy. Except they paid $430k for it in June 2007 – before any serious #%$%$ hit the fan. And for some reason they expected that 2 1/2 years later, after some of the most serious #%$%$ to ever hit a fan, hit the fan, that it would be worth 28% more. But no one agreed with them. (listed by Crestline Properties, L.C. 976)
PS- Forgive me, I couldn’t help it, I checked zillow. And their zestimate advises that in June 2007, when the owners bought it for $430k, that it was worth $604k. And to this day, they’re stickin to it. Gotta love that.
And the villages at La Paloma is about as cookie cutter as you can get. One builder, half a dozen floor plans, everything built within 2-3 years, and so on.
