Here’s what it looks like for Tucson Foothills home sales and sold prices this year, compared with years past.
After 4 years of steeply declining home sales, we’re finally seeing a measureable increase this year. 532 homes sold last year and so far this year we’re at 574. And with 59 in escrow we may well see another 15 to 20 sales before the end of the year. So maybe a 10 – 12% increase in sales over 09 and 08.
Also, of the 574 sold, 77 were foreclosures & 45 were short sales – 21%.
There’s been so such uptick with prices, which have yet to show a sustained turn around or even a sustained bottom. Though I noted in my latest monthly report; November’s average sale price was better than every month since March and except for last month, the median is higher than every month since April > November home sales in the Tucson Foothills <
I’ll be tweaking these numbers when all sales are finalized in the new year.
