week after week we’ve seen a decline in the number of contracts in May;
for the week ending 5/13 24 single family homes went to contract in the Tucson Foothills
the following week, ending on Sunday 5/20, 27 homes went to contract
then, the slippery slope, for the week ending 5/27 there were 16 contracts
and now we’re down to 14 homes in contract for this past week, ending 6/3
Some of this is due to our usual summer slow-down – unless you really have to do you really want to run around looking at homes when it’s 102. But there’s no doubt that serious economic uncertainty, along with an administration more consumed with politics than results, is weighing heavily on many of us.
