June was another banner month for home sales and along with April and May a triple header.
Meanwhile, sold prices continue on their odyssey of up one month and down the next.
We had just one sale over $1,000,000 in June and that one just squeaked in at $1.1m.
71 of the total 87 sales were from $157,000 to $590,000, then 15 from $613,587 and $955,000. And in my experience, for homes priced under about $600,000, bidding wars are becoming increasingly common.
And let’s see where we stand for January thru June, this year and last.
2012 – 437 sales @ $457,437/360,000
2013 – 470 sales @ $464,597/389,950
So sales are up 7.5% and prices are up 1.5% average and 8.3% median.
Slow and steady wins the race.
