Geez, talk about an odd week. We usually have somewhere around 15 to 20something contracts/week, and the vast majority of the contracts are always at the lower end, priced from $0 to $599,999. Always.
So out 20 contracts you’d see maybe 3 or 4 above $599, and that’s it, and anything above $1.0mil has been rarer than rain.
But not last week. Last week there were just 9 contracts - the fewest weekly contracts this year, which is understandable given the shenanigans in DC - but 8 of them are priced from $799,000 to $1,395,000 and just 1 at $299,000. A complete flip-flop. What gives??
1 priced at $299,000
5 priced from $799,000 to $999,000
and, incredibly, 3 priced at $1,075,000, $1,195,000 and $1,395,000
(though the La Quinta at $1.395 has fallen out, but still)
