A picture is worth 1000 words so I’ll keep it short.
the two charts show the number of single family home sold for the period of Jan 1 thru Sept 30th for two broad price ranges; homes sold up to $999,999 and homes sold from $1,000,000 & up.
Startling, isn’t it. Notice too, in 2006 when sales of homes under $$million plummeted, sales of homes over $$million rose quite dramatically. But unlike homes under $$million that have seen steady growth since bottoming out in 2009, the upper-end is still scrapping around the bottom of the barrel.
