7200 E Desert Moon Loop sold for $1,280,000 in 2003. And then in 2008 it was listed for $1,695,000, and after a few years and a few price cuts it finally sold today for $750,000 ($159/sf) off a $799,000 list price.
Why so cheap, I think part of it may be that Sante Fe’s are not as popular as they once were, and listing it at $1,695,000 in 08 certainly didn’t help, but the real clunker was paying $1,280,000 in 2003 and then trying to find someone else to make the same mistake.
If they’d have come along 1 year earlier they could’ve picked it up for $819,000. Yep, it was for sale in 02 for $819,000, and didn’t sell.
The buyers won this one.
