You may be wondering why there is no link, as there usually is, to the 20 homes that went to contract. The reason is the Tucson Association of Realtors/Multiple Listing Service has published it’s new Data Distribution Resource Guide which now prohibits the “mass distribution” (their words) of many forms of MLS data.
As stated in the Data Distribution Resource Guide;
“Distribution of MLS content to the masses is extremely narrow in scope and not permissible in most instances”.
The definition of the masses is large groups of unassociated individuals with no established broker client relationship who are not ready, willing, and able to purchase properties.
In general, the masses are:
:Website visitors
:Neighborhood farms
:Social Media Followers
And that’s you, the readers of this blog. So my hands are tied and unfortunately, from here on in, you can expect much less information from this blog and from other Tucson area real estate blogs.
The irony is that Zillow, Trulia and many other real estate websites are exempt from these rules. They only apply to Realtors®, those of us who actually pay to be members of the TAR/MLS.
