Coming in with the 2nd highest numbers in the last 15 months, March was nothing short of an outstanding month for home sales in the foothills. And compared to last March there’s no contest. Though the bulk of those sales, 65, were under $600k, 17 were from $610 to $975k and 2 for over $1,000,000, but just over, at $1,090,000 & $1,100,000.
Prices, unfortunately, did not fare nearly as well, and are 2nd only to this January for the lowest sale prices in the last 15 months.
So buyers have come out of the woods in droves but, in March, mostly for the lower hanging fruit.
And as I said last month, … it’s just one month, and as you can see from the last 12 months, monthly prices (and sales) bop around, up and down.
It’s time to look have a look at quarterly sales and prices to smooth out the bopping up and down and get a better feel for the longer term trends.
