The two homes that went to contract at $1,090,000 & $1,250,000 couldn't be more different and because of that they offer a glimpse of the wide range of homes available in the Catalina Foothills. and that's it, nothing with 7 figures

Despite a surprisingly active week during the week of 10/22 - 10/28 the market has slowed recently. Other recent weeks have had many fewer contracts. Yet there's no shortage of new listings, 156 new listings since October 1st, during which time just 83 homes went to contract.

So the inventory of homes for sale is climbing - and that's OK - we need more inventory,  it's been too low, there haven't been enough homes for buyers to choose from. But what we don't need, and don't want, is the concomitant slowdown in buyer activity that we have witnessed lately.

 9 from $673,900 to $895,000
 2 at $1,195,000 & $1,500,000

A surprisingly active week for contracts, surprising because of the volatile stock market and all the mayhem that caused the market to be volatile - all of which usually results in a drop in contracts and other real estate activity in the Catalina Foothills. Go figure!

There were also 30 new listings that week. And 30 is a lot of new listings for one week in late October. (link expires 12/2/18).
