John Murphey, the founder and developer of the Catalina Foothills Estates, in partnership with the architect Josias Joesler, were visionaries in the development of the Catalina Foothills, which until they came along, was a remote undeveloped and uninhabited area of Tucson.
Joesler's legacy in Tucson remains without parallel.
70+ years later, and now referred to as The Old Foothills, his homes remain the prized possessions of their proud owners and a source of inspiration to his followers. How true that is.
